Basically it is a program designed to build endurance so that you can run longer and longer distances. The first day starts off slow... 5 minute warm-up, then 30 minutes alternating between 60 seconds of walking and 90 seconds of running. Over time, the time spent running gradually increases. I was able to download a podcast that has music and also tells me when to walk or run, so I don't have to look at a stopwatch. That worked out really well for me. Anyway, I'm making no promises that I'll finish the program, but I'm sure going to give it a try! You know, I've lost over 80 pounds in the last few years and I've never been this close to my goal. I have to get there! I am so determined to lose 35 pounds by the end of the year... and I really do think exercise is going to be necessary for me to do that. You know, since I seem incapable of giving up potatoes and bread...
And now... how about some humiliating pictures to help motivate me....

And here I am now after losing over 80 pounds
(Yeah...apparently the double chin may never go away.)
But anyway... I've come a long way. I have a ways to go. But I'm going to get there!

Whoohoo, Anne! I'm excited for you and your new program. You look marvelous!
You look fantastic and way to go on 80lbs!! I am so impressed you are exercising with your injury-you will lose that last 35 for sure with this kind of dedication!!
Congratulations for losing all that weight, that's quite an accomplishment! I was reading more about the C25K and it looks really interesting. I feel inspired by it. I'm going to break down my week and see if I can fit this into it b/c I'd really like to get more cardiovascularly (sp) fit.

Good for you Anne and you're looking great! I recently downloaded the C25K and have "considered" starting it as I too want to loose my last bit of weight, yet I hate running! My trainer said that mixing up my cardio (doing something other than the elliptical and bike) will get things moving again for me in the right direction so I'm still considering it yet seem to lack the motivation. Good luck with the program and I can't wait to follow along and see how great you do.
You look great Anne!!!
