A quick review of the past year:
- Greg and I celebrated our 9th anniversary.
- Rachel turned 6 years old!
- Greg's mom moved in with us as well as his brother who was fighting ALS. We also had our 2-year-old nephew with us for a good bit of the time. Our house was full and busy for a while. Greg's mom has since moved to Colorado, and sadly, his brother passed away last week.
- We moved out of my dream house and into a teeny tiny townhouse - temporarily. We are still in the teeny tiny townhouse, by the way... hopefully not for long.
- Rachel started Kindergarten (after our epic failure at Kindergarten last year before she was ready). This year has been great, though! I'll post more about that in a later post.
- I got a job doing medical transcription from home and I'm still in school studying, when I am able to, to get certified as a medical coder so I can move up the ladder a bit career-wise someday.
- I'm still doing some digital scrapbooking and I'm exploring art journaling and card making now, too.
- Homeschooling didn't happen this year because there was just too much else happening. We are revisiting that idea for 1st grade... more on that later.
- I'm been in and out of the hospital since September having surgeries for recurrent benign tumors. It has been and still is a frustrating issue, but we are working on finding our "new normal" now while we continue to seek answers. More on that later, too.
So that is a quick update. I'm hoping I can get my blogging mojo back now!
And finally, how about a couple of recent pictures of Rachel? Can you believe how grown up she is getting?
