Wow, this weekend flew past quickly. It was a fun and productive weekend. We made a lot of progress with Rachel's room, though it was slow going. I'm getting used to my new normal of having to do activities in short spurts followed by crashing, which is no fun at all. I'll be glad when the new normal reverts back to the old normal. But anyway, Greg really helped me and Rachel was very on board with the decluttering. We ended up packing up about 4 big boxes of toys on Saturday. Then today I pulled all of Rachel's clothing out of her closet and had her try every single item on unless it was a recent purchase. That task took a long time, but I'm so glad that we did it. Now I have a better idea of what I'll need to get her for late spring/summer. I have to say, though, it was really so hard to part with some of her cute clothes! She has had such a big growth spurt since last fall. She started the fall in size 5 tops and size 4 bottoms. Now I'm buying her size 7 tops and size 5 or 6 bottoms depending on the length. She
could wear size 6 tops, but I'm buying them a bit big right now in hopes that the long sleeved tops she just got will still fit her for next fall/winter.
Greg and I got a new board game this weekend that we've really been enjoying, though I think he enjoys it a bit more than I do because well, I'm not very good at it! It is called
Agricola and I was attracted to it because it reminded me of Farmville from back when I was on Facebook. I quit Facebook... but that is a whole other post! Anyway, it is a fun game. Greg has definitely brought out the "game board geek" in me, I guess. :) Oh, and we also played a fun game that we got for Rachel -
Rat-a-Tat Cat. Very good game for little ones and it is good addition practice for them, too. I also did some cooking and meal planning and it feels great to start off this new week with some of the cooking done and some other easy meals planned.
I'll try to get some pictures this week. A post just seems so incomplete without a pic!

Oh man, am I impressed at how quickly you got on the organizing band wagon. Do you want to come do my house, pretty please???
